This past spring, after a 10-year stretch in New York City, I relocated to a smaller Upstate city that brought me closer to family and greener landscapes. Performance Fabric That Lives Up to the Hype

Considering I’m someone who likes to eat dinner on the sofa while watching my shows, I was hesitant to order an all-white couch. For tougher stains, mild soap and water will do, or I can just toss the fully-removable slipcovers in the wash. Psst: they recommend using a cold, gentle cycle or to dry clean.

If there’s one thing to know about me, it’s that I love a good nap. (I’m a Taurus—sleep is incredibly important.) As someone who prioritizes comfort and coziness over a piece of furniture that’s purely aesthetic, a deep-seated sofa had been at the top of my wishlist for years.

That may have given me pause at first, but then I started considering all of the design features that worked for my lifestyle. It feels less like a trendy splurge and more like a lasting investment I know I’ll keep for years.
